Respect, the first and most indispensable piece of that foundation, is honesty. Respect in its highest form. Our personal fulfillment comes from our own honesty. First with ourselves, then others. Honesty isn’t just the best policy, it’s the only policy!
How one thinks about events, is far more important than the events themselves. (Why is that?) We have the ability to choose our own attitude. (Don’t we?) We’re free to choose our attitude regardless of circumstances. (Isn’t that interesting?) Attitude is far more important than intelligence, education, special talent, or luck. (Studies have shown: 85% attitude – 15% ability.) By knowing that what we become is the effect of an inner decision.
By connecting the links, the story emerges; and Buddy is on board. I have my passenger, helping to keep me grounded, and keeping it real; but with Buddy’s imagination. Raising children is and always has been one of our greatest challenges. Kids are forever trying to get their own way, not realizing what might be in their best interest. I have 4 children, 3 of which I had in 4 years. 2 boys a year apart and then a sister. With all the reports (everyday: TV news, newspapers, etc.) about teen suicides and drug abuse among our youth, got me to thinking, “What’s being done about it?” It’s being called a crisis! Then my 17 year old granddaughter got caught sneaking out of the house at night. Well, all her technology got taken away, and she said she didn’t care.
