Once we have figured out how to take care of ourselves, what then?
Besides our body being taken care of, what then?
What about the creative side of our hunger? What really feeds our own significance, once our tummies are full, then what?
Do we start looking around for something to fix? Just what gets our creative juices flowing? We zero in on something! Yes! “I can do that!” I will figure out how!
Motivation to activation becoming stronger than body hunger. Then what? I can tell you! We are going somewhere. Maybe uncharted waters, but that’s okay! We, somehow know that we are going to make a difference.
Now, location identification! For each one of us, there will be a different location, but we know that, that is what makes it all work out. We have become a team! Think about “football”…what make it work? You know the answer! “Team work!”
Then what? Yes, we have become a team. Working together coming up with a process for addressing today’s challenges, or problems! “Name them!” Yes, sharing, coming up with solutions.
My own concern is, “Why are our young people, killing themselves?” And, taking drugs? Without pointing fingers, where do we go? I can tell you! “Are you with me?” Yes, we all have/need to be accountable!
Nothing is more important than our kids! “Are you still with me?” Of course you are! Now, what can we do? As parents, grandparents, teachers, counselors, and coaches, etc…we all have our jobs before us. Yes! We are beyond feeding our tummies!
We need direction, and I am feeling a need to give direction to all those who have kids in their lives. Your life and your time are so important. “You have no idea how much!”
“The Horses” have given you a tool for communication. By using “The Horses” concept for communication, will prove productive. “You’ll see!” That kind of energy is powerful, along with being fulfilling! So much fun to be had communicating with our kids!
Exploring the possibilities of what our lives will make in relationship with other lives. We have been plowing a field, planting it with care and love. We are moving beyond, to what really matters!
Always, given in love,
B. Louise Martens
Here I am, living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming thinking, "What can I tell you about my life and my own experiences?" Having grown up in Houston, Texas, then moving to Dallas, where my children grew up. We were fortunate enough to have a second home in Jackson Hole. At 84 now, I am over-read on self-help information. Self-awareness and being, or becoming more aware of my own behavior, as it relates to myself and then to others, is where my thinking and doing takes me. I'm about moving forward, for acknowledging to addressing today's problems, and what we can do to make a difference. It's important! At this point, I am only the messenger, offering solutions to the current suicide and drug crisis among our young people, in today's world; with a pathway to follow. Check out my website: tamingthewildhorses.com Currently, I am working at The Historic Wort Hotel's gift shop. Also, volunteer at our Senior Center. I enjoy being at home, cooking, having a garden (a good thinking and writing place), being with friends exploring the landscape, (which is amazing in Jackson Hole) and checking out our thrift stores. In just a couple of weeks, I'll be driving to Denver to be grandma to my teenage granddaughters for a month. In October, I'll be in Houston for a book-signing event for, "Taming the Wild Horses. Then back to my regular routine here in Jackson Hole. "Happy Trails Everyone!" B. Louise Bayer/Martens
